VR38 Coil Conversion Kit for Toyota JZ Engines
Coil conversion kit manufactured by Franklin Performance to fit modern high power Nissan VR38 coils to Toyota 1JZGTE & 2JZGTE engines.
Our kits incorporate genuine Hitachi R35 GT-R ignition coils and output nearly three times the OEM power, and are proven to support in excess of 1000HP. Hitachi are the OEM manufacturer used by Nissan.
Features:
- Unique two-piece interlocking design for easier installation
- Custom short coil stalks to allow fitment under the factory coil cover
- No external igniter required – the new VR38 coils have a built-in igniter in each coil
- Supplied with six coil plug connectors
The kit is compatible with 1JZGTE & 2JZGTE engines, with or without VVTI. If the engine is non-turbo and non-VVTI then this kit is not compatible. Light modification of the rocker cover is required for fitment on 1JZGTE engines.
All components are CNC machined from quality materials at our factory in Napier, New Zealand. The brackets are made from billet 6061 aluminium and anodised black for corrosion resistance and great looks.
