Chassis punches, also known as screw punches or knockout punches, are used to easily punch holes in sheet metal. A smaller hole is pre-drilled into the material, then the chassis punch is used to enlarge it.
Dimple dies are used to improve the strength and appearance of a panel by flaring an existing hole made by a chassis punch in sheet metal up to 1/8" (3mm) thick. The dies work great in a press or ironworker, and the smaller sizes can also be used with a nut & bolt on lighter steel or aluminium.
Both the chassis punches and dimple dies are made from high strength alloy steel with a heat treatment and unique oil impregnation to prevent corrosion — built to last a lifetime.
